This unit is designed to receive a digital data stream at L-band (950-1450 MHz). The receiver center frequency is synthesized and can be tuned by software command anywhere in the 500 MHz band by steps of 10 KHz. Multiplexing of DC power, 10 MHz master clock and L-band modulated signal is provided for direct connection to most C-band and Ku-band LNBs. The design emphasizes low production cost.

Typical applications include VSAT indoor unit, AMSC/Inmarsat L-band receiver.

This L-band receiver can be used as daughter board for a satellite modem.
