L-Band Satellite Signal Generator
The MSS-316 is a complex waveform signal generator which can be customized to test production receivers. The L-band output allows direct connection to mobile satellite receivers. Large waveforms (up to 256MB of digital samples) can be stored and played back for a reproduceable environment. The baseband waveform is typically generated on a computer using Matlab or any other simulation program. The baseband waveform can include real information, formatting, error correction encoding, modulation, doppler, additive white gaussian noise, satellite beacon, adjacent channel interferers. The resulting file is downloaded to the MSS-316 over the LAN.
