Satellite Services Corporation is proud to announce its latest
design: Dual mode (satellite / terrestrial) digital audio broadcast receiver.
The receiver demodulates multiple simultaneous data streams including QPSK and COFDM signals. It also includes error correction and demultiplexing. The receiver exhibits excellent signal-to-noise ratio performance (satellite reception down to 4 dB SNR), fast and reliable re-acquisition following simulated bridges and low power consumption (< 1A from all baseband circuitry). The receiver is implemented primarily in software, using standard VHDL code. It does not rely on any outside intellectual property. The 1.7 Million gates embodiment of this software radio is portable to a variety of FPGAs and ASIC technologies.
